The Bruxeeze Night Guard is a boil-and-bite mouthguard you wear while you sleep. It protects all of your teeth from the impact of grinding and clenching, and can be worn on your upper or lower teeth. The Bruxeeze Night Guard is easily moulded to fit your teeth in under 5 minutes, offering immediate and effective relief from teeth grinding symptoms.
It’s always best to check with your dentist before you start wearing a mouthguard, as they’ll be able to advise whether one is suitable for you. A few missing teeth at the back of your mouth shouldn’t cause any problems, but if you have several teeth missing at the front, you may have issues with the device falling out of your mouth during the night. For those with dentures, the Bruxeeze Night Guard can be used if you wear your dentures while sleeping. It can’t be used if you have full dentures that need to be removed at night-time. If you have partial dentures that are removed while you sleep, you’ll need the majority of your front teeth and several of your rear teeth to be able to use the Bruxeeze Night Guard.
The guard is made from medical grade thermoplastics. It’s BPA and latex-free.
If you achieve a good impression during the moulding process, the Bruxeeze Night Guard should fit snugly around your teeth and will not fall out while you sleep. If it does fall out, the mouthguard may be too small or large for you – or you might not have achieved a deep enough impression.
If you’re worried this may be the case, simply send some photos of your moulding to customerservice@passionforlife.com. We’ll be able to assess the mouthguard and help you further.
Bruxeeze Custom Night Guard FAQs
Bruxeeze Custom Night Guards are created from your dental impressions to provide an extra secure and comfortable fit. They form a protective barrier between the surfaces of your teeth to even out the pressure across your jaw. By creating a physical barrier between your upper and lower teeth, your teeth will be protected from the effects of grinding.
This depends on how many missing teeth you have, and which ones they are. A few missing molars at the back of your mouth should be okay, but if you have several front teeth missing you may have problems wearing a guard. If you have crowns or a bridge, we don’t recommend purchasing or wearing a guard without first consulting your dentist. This is especially true if you have crowns or a bridge on your front teeth, as these are the teeth that have the most pressure placed on them. For those who wear dentures, a Bruxeeze guard can be used if your dentures are kept in the mouth while sleeping. It cannot be used if you have full dentures and these are removed while sleeping. If you wear partial dentures and they are removed at night, then you would need the majority of your front teeth and several of your rear teeth to be able to wear a Bruxeeze guard. Please consult your dentist or orthodontist if you are unsure about whether a Bruxeeze Custom Night Guard is suitable for you.
Our custom guards are designed to combat different levels of teeth grinding. The Slim Fit is suitable for mild grinding and daytime bruxers. The Pro is suitable for moderate-to-heavy grinders. The Pro Extra offers a similar level of protection, but offers additional comfort.
As soon as you place your order, we’ll send out a dental impression kit so you can get started straightaway. The kit will include trays for either your top or bottom teeth, and putty for you to make a mould of your teeth.
Please see the video below for a full guide.
Practice aligning your mouth centrally in the tray before you mix the putty. Once you place the putty into the tray, bite down in one fluid movement. Don’t hesitate or stop mid-way as this will cause a distorted impression. Once you’ve bitten down into the putty, try gently pressing the putty and tray onto your gums. This will help capture your gumline and a good tooth impression.
Sending us photos of your impression before you return it will save you both time and money. Our lab technicians will only accept good quality impressions in order to create your guard. If they feel your impression isn’t suitable via photo assessment, we can easily send you additional putty for another impression without having to wait for the postage return time.

If you’d like to cancel your Custom Bruxeeze Night Guard order but an impression kit has already been dispatched, only a partial refund can be applied. A charge of £14 will be kept to cover the loss of materials.
Because the Bruxeeze Custom Night Guard is tailored to your unique dental impressions, it’s not covered by a standard money back guarantee. However, we’ll do our absolute best to achieve a positive outcome for you.
Your Custom Night Guard will extend to around your first molars. This is because your upper molars and wisdom teeth rarely meet their lower counterparts when grinding occurs (teeth grinding generally places pressure at the front of the mouth). Night guards that extend any further back can be uncomfortable and often trigger a gag reflex.
Health and General FAQs
Many people don’t realise that they suffer from bruxism, especially those living on their own. The tell-tale signs of teeth-grinding are:
- Excessive tooth wear – teeth that are flattened, chipped or loose
- Worn tooth enamel, exposing deeper layers of your tooth
- Hypersensitive teeth
- Tired or tight jaw muscles, or a locked jaw that won’t open or close completely
- Headaches/earaches
No. The Bruxeeze Night Guard is designed for the average adult mouth – we don’t recommend anyone under the age of 18 wearing it. Our custom guards are not suitable for children either.
We advise against using a Bruxeeze guard if you suffer from a serious respiratory condition such as asthma or emphysema.
Yes. Wearing a guard shouldn’t interfere with CPAP use.
Yes. Many people find that they grind their teeth when they feel stressed during the daytime. If you want to wear the guard discreetly during the day, try wearing it while driving your car, when cooking or preparing a meal, or working alone at home or in the office.
Yes. Having an overbite or underbite shouldn’t cause any issues when fitting or wearing the guard.
The lifespan of your Bruxeeze guard depends on the frequency and intensity of your teeth-grinding. Most people report that their mouthguard shows signs of wear and tear after around 6 months. You should replace your guard when:
- There are signs of damage, cracks or flaws.
- There’s a loss of retention – the device no longer fits snugly around your teeth.
Use cool water and a toothbrush to clean your mouthguard after each use. Make sure to also rinse your mouthguard with cool water before you wear it. Avoid using hot water, which can warp its shape.
Yes. In fact, you should try to wear your mouthguard every night. If you wear it on and off over a long-term period, you’ll slow the pace of tooth damage, but that damage will still occur. Wearing a mouthguard consistently is the best way to protect against the symptoms of teeth-grinding.
We offer 4 different types of night guard to help protect against the effects of teeth grinding. The descriptions below should help you choose which is best for you.
Bruxeeze Self Fit Night Guard
The Bruxeeze Self Fit Night Guard can be easily moulded at home in under 5 minutes using boil-and-bite technology. The guard has a soft inner layer for comfort, and a durable outer layer for protection against wear and tear caused by teeth grinding. Each pack contains 2 night guards to help you stop grinding for up to 12 months. The Bruxeeze Self Fit costs £24.99, and you can find out more about it here.
Bruxeeze Custom Slim Fit Night Guard
The Bruxeeze Slim Fit is a custom night guard made from your dental impressions. It can be created for upper or lower teeth. With a thickness of 1.5mm, the Slim Fit is an ideal guard for first-time wearers, or those who experience mild clenching. It can also be a good choice for daytime bruxers, offering a discreet and almost invisible fit. Made from EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), it provides both comfort and protection from the impact of teeth grinding. The Slim Fit costs £49.99, and you can find out more about it here.
Bruxeeze Custom Pro Night Guard
The Bruxeeze Pro is a custom night guard made from your dental impressions. It can be moulded for upper or lower teeth. With a thickness of 3mm, the Pro is an ideal guard for moderate-to-heavy bruxing (teeth-grinding). Made from EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), the Pro is twice the thickness of the Bruzeeze Slim Fit. It provides heavy-duty protection from the impact of teeth-grinding and clenching. If you have previously worn a slimmer guard and found that it wore out quickly, the Pro might be a good choice for you. The thickness of the material offers greater separation of your teeth and can increase the length of time between guard replacements. The Bruxeeze Pro costs £54.99, and you can find out more about it here.
Bruxeeze Custom Pro Extra Night Guard
The Bruxeeze Pro Extra is a custom night guard made from your dental impressions. It can be moulded for upper or lower teeth. It features a thickness of 3mm, making the Pro Extra an ideal guard for moderate-to-heavy bruxing (teeth-grinding). With a hard outer layer made from PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) and a soft inner layer made from EVA (Ethylene vinyl Acetate) the Pro Extra offers an additional level of comfort when compared with the Bruxeeze Pro.
The Pro Extra provides heavy-duty protection from the impact of teeth-grinding and clenching. It offers greater separation of your teeth than slimmer guards and can increase the length of time between guard replacements. The Pro Extra’s PETG design also gives the added bonus of a clear material look, offering a more discreet fit. The Bruxeeze Pro Extra costs £65.99, and you can find out more about it here.
